Irish songwriter Roesy is one of Ireland’s most respected touring artists. Over the past 15 years he has released eight albums and shared the stage with luminaries such as Ron Sexsmith, Billy Bragg, Joan Armatrading and Donovan. His work is beguiling, bearing the influence of the ancient Irish guilds of storytelling, lyric poetry and folk song. “A storyteller with the gift of the jocular jab... armed with a crystalline pair of vocal chords” – The Irish Times.
Roesy’s set is followed by The Seisiún, an electric performance that brings together a multi-award-winning collection of Ireland’s top traditional musicians and dancers, including Charlene Morrison and Liam Scanlon (step dance), Stephen Doherty (flute, melodeon, bodhrán), David Doocey (fiddle, concertina), Pat Coyne (guitar, vocal) and Andrew Laking (double bass).
