In May 2013, Greytown artist Steffen Kreft went back to his home country Germany and set himself the goal to create, write and send one postcard each day for one year. A satisfying marriage of form and function, this project brought together the disciplines of diary writing, creating free artworks and corresponding with friends, and made these a part of daily life.
The works use collage, drawing, painting, mixed-media, photography and other techniques and depict the artist’s personal journey over the year.
