Robyn Ramsden believes that books are forever items, repaired and cared for through generations. She’s a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism and during a Medieval re-enactment saw that the costumed characters only had modern notepads on which to take notes. Robyn taught herself the art and bound her first books in 2005. Since then she’s started her own business, Athena Bookbinding, specializing in Medieval and Renaissance-styles, producing gorgeous leather-clad books. Robyn and her associates will talk about and show how books are made and repaired.
