Up With People Presents:

The cream of Ireland's folk-scene travel to New Zealand, to perform with Trinity Roots on a Kiwi/Celtic collaboration entitled "Motu : Oiléain”.

Trinity Roots need little introduction. Their sublime fusion of reggae, jazz and soul has won them fans the world over and are one of this country's best loved bands with a reputation as a live act with few equals. At Kokomai they'll be joined by Pauline Scanlon from folk duo “Lumiere”, who recently performed a sold-out show in Carnegie Hall, Tola Custy, who plays with the Irish traditional super-group “Lunasa", Gráda flautist Alan Doherty, who achieved worlwide recognition as the soloist on the Lord of the Rings soundtrack and Gerry Paul - a guitarist who has played with some of the biggest names in the international folk-scene.

It's a tantalising combination that was a huge hit at the recent Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow and will be the perfect way to close this year's Kokomai Festival.
