A celebration of the ideals of the international Black Power movement. (NEW ZEALAND / USA)

An astonishingly prescient movie, Raisin in the Sun has a spellbinding message at its core. Light supper and discussion follows, facilitated by writer, poet, social activist, and prison reformer John Wareham, who’s childhood memoir, Exposed, has been hailed as “a Kiwi Catcher in the Rye” and was featured at the Auckland Writers Festival. His anthology, Sonnets for Sinners, was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.
